Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide

Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Evans signing with the raiders; I don’t know; kinda worried about his age….at the moment with Kubiak as the new HC; if the raiders go say 4-13, Kubiak will be coming back the next season as he kinda got that first year coach season on him; I would rather have the rookies and second year WR’s have more playing time.

Signing Evans would be absolutely ridiculous on both his side and ours. Just no. Highly doubt it's happening.

Washington really f[raiders_icon]cked up in just releasing a guy who could have been traded - if he gets more money in FA than he was due, then you could have gotten a late pick or a pick swap for him. This takes the Chargers out of the Linderbaum bidding.

That's a bummer. Would have really liked him as an alternative option to Linderbaum. Never love to see your rival get a good one.

If we don't sign a FA C, I think that between JPJ and Pat Coogan, we'll would be fine. Not sure about Meredith's future but maybe he, JPJ, Coogan, et al, will battle it out in training camp/exhibition games where one, maybe 2 are released and/or 1 or 2 remain but change positions.

I hope we are all over Hoffman. Only 26, can play center and both guard positions. Not a sexy signing, but a worthwhile one given his versatility. He would be better than anyone we currently have at all 3 positions (not hard).
