Lmao ok. When Kubiak, Spy and Brady trade Maxx's ass out of here, write them a letter telling them they don't understand how to rebuild.heavyD wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:25 am No. I think it's you that doesn't understand how proper rebuilding works. I'm not going to be upset if they trade Max but you are delusional if you think the organization will be in a better place to rebuild by getting rid of their best defensive player. Almost a zero chance any of the players they pick with the draft picks returned become as impactful of a player.
So again I ask you, are you going to disagree with them when that happens? Bc this is EXACTLY how a smart team starts a rebuild.

The logic is not flawed when you apply common sense to it. The original statement was taken by me as 'we have won 3 games with Maxx and since he's on the downspiral of his career, we should trade him'.Jeevo wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:34 am Read the original statement and think about it ffs. I'm saying the opposite, I'm saying that I think the logic is flawed, that I disagree with it.
When you look for things to be POd about you'll find them
So, in turn, the same cannot be said about Bowers and Jeanty. There is no comparing any logic bc nobody in their right mind would say, unless agenda driven, that we should trade Bowers or Jeanty bc we only won 3 games with them.

This is essentially the same report rehashed/recycled over and over again for about 2 weeks now. Doesn't appear the "interested" teams are willing to give up what it will take to get Crosby evidenced by the fact a deal hasn't been completed.eastcoast128 wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:48 am Dianna Russini - approx 11:00est wrote:
The Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions, and the New England Patriots are SOME of the NFL teams that are interested in trading for Crosby. However, Dianni Russini of the Athletic reported that there is a new team that has emerged. She said on Twitter, "Maxx Crosby is drawing serious interest around the league. The Dallas Cowboys are closely monitoring the situation and remain very interested, while the Baltimore Ravens are also a team to watch. GMs believe the Las Vegas Raiders are willing to work on a deal."
Also, there is information going around on MD sports talk radio that the Eagles are in on trading for Maxx. I think Dallas was disappointed they didn’t close the deal and are still in on it. They don’t want him going to Philly
This is why I posted on 2 occasions that trading Maxx before the league year makes the most sense. Numerous clubs have a need and cap space

This is fun to talk about and is entertainment. It was nice to end the doldrums of this time of year before things start to get exciting (and we do not have to beat this dead horse any further).

Corner the market by signing Hendrikson. Watch Crosby's value go up.

The rumormill about Crosby right now is going crazy. The Eagles/Baltimore rumors have me thinking there is a massive bidding war for Maxx right now.

The Raiders arent in a hurry. A trade like this taking weeks, a month etc to hash out is fine. The Raiders aren't obligated to give Maxx away like the media says they should. Fleece someone's ass! The Eagles being involved, if true, is great. Jerry over there in Dallas might do something dumb and allow the fleecetatalalicious wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:00 am This is essentially the same report rehashed/recycled over and over again for about 2 weeks now. If you're saying that a guy is expendable, and that he hasn't helped the team, because we only won 3 games with him then everyone on the team is in the same boat. Seems pretty obvious.BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:55 am The logic is not flawed when you apply common sense to it. Very good analysischucker wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 6:56 am When I hear about draft pick compensation I look back at prior drafts to see what players were actually taken at the particular draft slot(s) in question. I know that not every draft is the same and this year's is a bit weaker in the first round than some others - but I've also heard that about other drafts that turned out ok. Looking back at prior drafts takes into account that you're taking the bad with the good of the draft in an evaluation of value and there's lots of both every year.
I started looking at 2020 - that was Ruggs and Chaisson at 12 and 20. Ruggs was a good pick in terms of talent, but circumstances made it a bad result. Chaisson was a bust as a draft pick, who later helped other teams.
The next season was Parsons and Kadarius Toney. A massive hit, and a miss. Then Jameson Williams and Kenny Pickett - for a team without a QB need, the more relevant pick would be McDuffie after Pickett. 2023 - Gibbs and Smith-Njigba. 2024 - Nix (Bowers after Nix) and Fautanu. 2025 - Booker and Barron.
It's not an "answer" for value, but IMO it gives a better representation of potential value in the picks than our assumptions about how future draft picks will perform. Results are obviously very mixed. Huge hits and huge misses along the way.

I get your point but Maxx has been in the league what, 7 years? We haven’t won with him.heavyD wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 7:40 am It's not the situation and more that it's not fair to lay the lack of wins at the feet of Max. Garrett is possibly the best defensive player in the league and the Browns don't win with him. Football is the ultimate team game and if the Browns or Raiders ever truly turn the corner it will be much easier with Garrett and Crosby on their rosters. Trading Mack made the Raiders worse so I'm kind of surprised that some Raiders fans don't understand that teams don't get better by trading their best players.
And the last 7 Superbowl winners seemed to manage to win without him. I’m not saying we can’t keep him and build around him, just that there’s other ways to build a team successfully.

Listen, if you cant realize that a player's age is clearly a factor in situations like this, combined with the fact that they can ball, then dont even respond to me.
