If Dallas isn't in the picture, my second guess is the Rams. They have no problem dumping picks. Their remaining 1st this year and their 1st next year to start. They are very close to another deep playoff run with KC's corner and then Maxx to finish things off.

Im saying it's 2 different deals. Get your haul for Maxx.SkullCrusher wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 11:43 am Here's the simple thought process and it does carry logic with it. This doesn't mean I'm pro or anti Maxx. How I look at it, if we get very solid compensation for Maxx it's a wash to me and we won't really know for probably a couple of years when we look back.
For Max we get 2 high picks + maybe a player for him. The two picks are the youth movement.
We get his replacement in FA for no picks, but cap money at a bit more than what Maxx costs.
How you wrote it, it would seem like were doing a 1:1 trade between those players, yes that would be dumb.
Now I know you know better than that, but that is how you wrote it.
There is no need to make a stupid move for an older injured player just because we can. I think we have zero interest in Hendrickson and the feeling is mutual. Same as the "get Evans" posts. I hope we are beyond giving old vets a last payday with no return. Unless we are in position to compete those guys are Al moves

I hope we don't look back and kick ourselves for not taking the Cowboys (alleged) offer if we dont end up with something better. Bc if it was 12 and 20 this year, that was an overpay in itself and we would of Kickstarted this rebuild the right way.

Do we know this was the offer?BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 2:11 pm I hope we don't look back and kick ourselves for not taking the Cowboys (alleged) offer of two 1sts if we dont end up with something better. I'm not convinced they did. A few rumors came out that they weren't willing to part with 2 firsts. Wingo's message on X said it too.BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 2:11 pm I hope we don't look back and kick ourselves for not taking the Cowboys (alleged) offer of two 1sts if we dont end up with something better. My hope is Cowboys backed out because they DID offer that, or a version of it, maybe a this year and next years first, and got outbid by someoene else.

All i'm seeing is it was two 1sts that the Cowboys weren't willing to give. Years werent specified. Thats why I said alleged.
I still would of taken one of their 1sts this year and one next year though. Two 1sts in any way shape or form is enough for me.

Well, I said I was done with this, but while I am not going to comment on the back and forth, I will say that Wingo, while not Shefter, has been dialed in the past.BotesBoats wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 2:15 pm I'm not convinced they did. I would rather have 12 and next year's 1st over 12 and 20. Its worth taking the risk that their 1st next year will be significantly better than 20. There isnt much risk it will be significantly worse than 20.BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 2:16 pm All i'm seeing is it was two 1sts that the Cowboys weren't willing to give. Sure if you don't think Trey is the guy. But some will think he's a plausible replacement.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 1:46 pm Im saying it's 2 different deals. Get your haul for Maxx.

So you could actually replace Maxx with Trey for a period of time and get the picks.
But Dallas is seeing clearer, why give up good picks when you can just sign a pretty good guy for no picks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. As crazy as it sounds, the ONLY way I bring Trey here is if we keep Maxx. Make DE an absolute force. In no way am I replacing Maxx for Trey in any way shape or form.

Wait!!! What??? And based on everything Florida has posted on this, how is he high-5ing it? How is that even possible with 87 million in cap space and like 20 pending FAs? Youd be spending about 55 million on Hendrikson and a C and not getting picks.BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 3:42 pm I've said it before and I'll say it again.
