Posted before watching it. Now I’ve watched it. My veins course with sweet sweet KoolAid.
We’re gonna need to use that 2nd on Cooper.
Charlie M’F’n Becker. Must have in ‘27.
What a f’n season for Indiana.
And last, but nowhere close to f[raiders_icon]cking least. Mendo is so so sooooooooo f[raiders_icon]cking good. It’s crazy to have the word “lucky” in connection to my Raiders, but holy shit. Mendo man. Star.

This pick is a no-brainer, no thinking, and not worthy of discussing any other first round option.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 8:20 am Posted before watching it. Now I’ve watched it. My veins course with sweet sweet KoolAid.

As far as I'm concerned, if this guy fails, it'll be on the coaching staff. The pressure is on them far more than it is on Mendoza.

Rosen went to Wharton and now works for JP Morgan in investment banking. Sounds like he ended up where he’s supposed to beGoodTimeCharlie wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 10:56 pm Right there with ya. I remember reading his draft profile last year when mock simulators had him available in the 4th Round. I’d draft him every time. Hits all the right notes for me.
The only “cerebral” QB my pea-brain can come up with that didn’t have success in the NFL is one Joshua Ballinger Lippincott Rosen. And come on, with that name, we probably should have known. Just never knew his full name until just now lookin’ him up.
I’ve been a Raider man through all this miserable horseshit. Which has been like identifying as a widower. We haven’t had a player that gives me all the straight fan-vibes in a long long f’n time. He’s got me wanting his jersey and he hasn’t played a snap. Fuckin’ A. Helluva offseason.
LET’S GO MENDO!!!

I understand that we want a true #1 wideout for our shiny new toy but I still don't want to take a wr in the 2nd.

bigger needs are out there that will factor into BPA because if it is close, you take the need over the player. And BPA is also very subjective.Jeevo wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 8:53 am I understand that we want a true #1 wideout for our shiny new toy but I still don't want to take a wr in the 2nd.

I don't really want a WR in the 2nd but if Cooper fell to us then I'd be very tempted. I do prefer drafting WRs over signing them in FA and I don't like drafting them in the first. Indications are that Cooper will go in the first round.
I'm not quite halfway through that Mendoza highlight reel, but he's so f[raiders_icon]cking good. His ball placement is elite. It's so impressive to have such a long highlight reel without showing replays.

Yeah receiver in round 2 is not my preference but if a 1st round talent falls id be fine with it. Add as much talent as you can everywhere

I'll be interested to see what Cooper weighs in at - he's listed at 6-0 204 but he looks like he's a really strong 204.

Is that 6'0" 204 measured at the combine or the number they supply to the combine? Do they even measure and weigh, etc, anymore?chucker wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 9:53 am I'll be interested to see what Cooper weighs in at - he's listed at 6-0 204 but he looks like he's a really strong 204.

The expectation is everyone who attends the combine will get measured.Jeevo wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 10:24 am Is that 6'0" 204 measured at the combine or the number they supply to the combine? Do they even measure and weigh, etc, anymore?

That's from his wikipedia page, which I assume probably matches up with what Indiana had listed. He should get measured. Almost everyone does the measurements at the combine but some guys with measurement issues don't do it - it's usually just short QBs who balk at it.Jeevo wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 10:24 am Is that 6'0" 204 measured at the combine or the number they supply to the combine? What player or position, if any, would you be interested in trading back into the 1st round for?

Personally, none. Stand pat and make the best picks. 100 mil in cap and 9 draft picks is plenty to make a big difference for the team. The Raiders already have some talent on roster even if some of it will be depth going forward. Team has no significant free agents that NEED to be brought back. You could argue Stokes but I wouldn't say that's a no brainer must resign. He's been often injured in his career.RickRyb wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 10:57 am What player or position, if any, would you be interested in trading back into the 1st round for?
I think overall, id hate to spend future/current draft picks to get back in the 1st. Not worth it. Use all the picks to stack up talent
