Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

LoL-I know, just busting your chops. Philly tends to keep things "real." But, your Delta Chi name is now Dream Slayer.

Anthony Richardson is in a class by himself when it comes to stupid.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 5:08 am Didn't mention him for a reason. I never liked the pick and don't think he will amount to anything. I've said he is the Anthony Richardson of WRs.
My opinion of course.
I know plenty of people who ink names on themselves. Thier child's name, thier parents names, a faith name like Jesus and so on.
This moron had ro go under anesthesia for a complete back tattoo and across the top of his back is the name, RICHARDSON.
Who the f[raiders_icon]ck puts thier own name across thier back?
And he hasn't accomplished anything in the NFL.
Talk about ego.
What do they call it?
A legend in his own mind?

The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec believes Tyler Linderbaum “appears primed” to eclipse Creed Humphrey as the league’s highest-paid center in free agency.
Linderbaum is expected to have a strong market, in other words. The two natural landing spots will be a return to Baltimore and a reunion with coach John Harbaugh in New York, though neither are exactly flush with cap space. Linderbaum has posted PFF grades above 74.6 in all four of his seasons and is a strong run blocker despite being undersized. He’ll turn 26 in April.

He's my number one target.
Ai
Tyler Linderbaum 25yo is most naturally suited for a zone-blocking system due to his elite athleticism, lateral quickness, and technique. However, since entering the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, he has proven to be highly effective in power/gap schemes as well, becoming one of the league's most versatile interior linemen.
Scheme Suitability Breakdown
Zone System (Ideal Fit):
Athleticism: His ability to reach defenders on the perimeter and "climb" to the second level to block linebackers is his greatest strength.
PFF Grades: As of the 2025-2026 season, Linderbaum has earned a 92.4 PFF grade in zone schemes, placing him in the 91st percentile among centers.
Comparisons: His playstyle is often compared to legendary zone-scheme centers like Jason Kelce and Corey Linsley.
Power/Gap System (Demonstrated Success):
Versatility: Despite pre-draft concerns that his smaller frame (approx. 290–300 lbs) would struggle in power systems, he has excelled in Baltimore's heavy gap-scheme offense.
PFF Grades: He maintains an elite 79.2 PFF grade in gap concepts (85th percentile), showing he can succeed even when asked to drive-block or pull in power sets.
Leverage & Technique: Linderbaum uses a wrestling background to maintain leverage against larger nose tackles, compensating for his lack of traditional "power-center" mass.
Career Performance (2022–2025)
Since being drafted 25th overall in 2022, Linderbaum has been a three-time Pro Bowler (2023–2025) and has consistently ranked as a top-five qualifying center.
He also grades out with a 97.2 pass bock win rate
I'll order 1 please.

Yea id expect both Linderbaum and Pierce to be tagged.
That number is $27.924 million for offensive lineman and 27.1 for WR.
The only chance we get at signing either is if they sit, bc we all know how much players like to get tagged, and get traded.
Of course thier desire to get off thier current teams needs to be strong and im not seeing that. Unless they are swept away with Mendoza Kubiak mania. Lol
If they cant work out a deal they will get tagged and a contract can be hammered out.
One thing, imo, is both the Colts and Ravens have QB problems to a degree.
Daniel Jones has never shown he is that guy and Lamar, imo, is on the down swing.
Fwiw Baltimore has 22M in cap room and Indy has 28M.
Add Indy doesn't have a QB under contract and if its Jones he'll command 40-45M per.
Not that money matters bc its smoke and mirrors. But im not saying anything you don't already know.

I can't see Linderbaum getting tagged. The highest every salary for a center is somewhere around $18 million so $27 million is just too rich and the risk for the Ravens is that he just signs it and plays for $27 million guaranteed which would go fully on the cap in 2026 and then needs a new contract in 2027.KillerRaider30 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 1:53 pm Yea id expect both Linderbaum and Pierce to be tagged.

Yeah not much chance they tag him. Im sure they make a strong push to keep him but that tag number is out of line IMOchucker wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:02 pm I can't see Linderbaum getting tagged. Tagging him alows them more time to hammer out a deal and at the same time takes him off the market.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:07 pm Yeah not much chance they tag him. Im sure they make a strong push to keep him but that tag number is out of line IMO
That deal would be more in line with averages.
If a deal isn't worked out they can then trade him and receive compensation.
The center is a 1st r pick so I think they can use the 5th year option. Correct me if thats wrong.
Shall see, today Feb 17-March 3 the NFL can start franchise tagging.

Like Chucker stated the highest paid C makes 18 million . He could sign the tag and say fine pay me almost 28 for the season and destroy your cap room they have. I don't see them taking that chance unless they are already close to a deal and he agrees not to. In which case we have no shot anywaysKillerRaider30 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:00 pm Tagging him alows them more time to hammer out a deal and at the same time takes him off the market.

It’s too late for the 5th year option, but they certainly can do any of the rest.
“NFL teams must exercise or decline the 5th-year option on first-round draft picks by May 1 of the player's fourth season. For the 2023 draft class, this deadline is May 1, 2026, which locks in a guaranteed salary for the 2027 season. The option window generally opens in early January.”
