Well, that was certainly...something.Raidernation1979 wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 7:33 pm Great write up. Now if you want to have fun reading there is one seahawk fan in particular who thinks this is Macdonalds offense and Kubiak was just running it. Hes sure that they will be even better and that Kubiak was holding them back.

Yeah with Ben Johnson's last game as a Lion, that loss to Washington in the playoffs. I'm sure some Lions fans were convincing themselves they'd be better off

I am cautiously optimistic that this year will show an actual step or steps in the right direction. I've not had hopes this high in quite some timne. Yes, I am well aware that as a Raiders fan, that which looks like a glimmering of light at the end of the tunnel is really a choo choo, I think Kubiak and Mendoza will be a lethal pair for years to come. I am NOT expecting a playoffs or bust season, but a season of growth, where 7-8 wins are a real possibility.

Yeah, the offense belongs to the defensive-minded HC. That kid is way past delusional!

One thing that is amusing to me? This belief that teams are "here to stay" after winning a SB. Or in the Pats case "We'll be back" when statistically? No, they won't. No QB has ever made it back to the SB after losing in year 2. The most famous example is Marino.
Here is another QB after a SB loss (paraphrasing): "We're young, we'll be back."
Who said that? Vince Ferragammo after Super Bowl 14.
Narrator: "They in fact would NOT be back."
Or the Chiefs fans thinking they just pick up their dynasty years with no drop off ignoring Mahomes coming off a major injury and decline in Kelce.
Point being the whims of the football gods often has other fates in mind that don't match up with fans expectations. Could Seattle be back next year? Maybe. But the NFL is not structured towards sustained dominance. They might but more likely wont be back again.

One of the most hopeful post in this Seahawk's forum was the person that indicated Kubiak was taking the O-Line coach with him to Las Vegas.Raidernation1979 wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 7:33 pm Great write up. Benton was with him in NO. I also think he'll take his QB coach as well. Rick Dennison should also come as well, Kubiak's father played with his dad on the donkeys. He was senior offensive advisor and run game coordinator with the Hawks. Interestingly enough, Dennison played LB.RickRyb wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 10:23 pm One of the most hopeful post in this Seahawk's forum was the person that indicated Kubiak was taking the O-Line coach with him to Las Vegas.
