I want to keep Maxx, but I can't help but appreciate the ironic humor if Maxx leaves and we end up finally being good without him. Out of all the opportunities for him to buy in to a new direction, this is the most legit one. Just stay the course buddy

My initial thought with all of this: It better not contribute to Kubiak getting cold feet.

As I said in my previous post, I believe that the silence between Maxx and the Raiders towards each other over the past month or so, leads me to believe that Maxx is done in Vegas...as far as what he might bring in return, it really depends on who wants to trade for him. Depending on where they draft, some of the better teams' #1 draft pick is actually damn close to being nearly the same as an early round #2 pick.

I like this and I’d try to get a player at a position of need, also. There’s gonna be plenty of teams interested, what’s the worst they can say?
Maxx is a great player, no doubt, but you can’t keep him if he wants out. Just can’t. Don’t spoil a good trade opportunity by forcing his hand to stay, make it as amicable as possible and show him respect by trying to trade him somewhere he wants to go while getting at minimum fair compensation.
Gonna be tough to replace him, regardless. D ends of his caliber are hard to come by and draft picks are no guarantee, no matter what round or slot.

Maxx has been great. Been an absolutely great player for the Raiders. And, well… he’s kinda part of some terrible chapters in Raider history. He’s the Gruden 2.0 era. The you-know-who era. The Doofus Davis “taking the reins” era. No fault of his of course.

He’s always shown his support for the team (until the recent passive aggressive social media stuff). He’s been a standup guy willing to back Bisaccia for HC. Willing to threaten a trade unless we hired Pierce. Willing to stand by his guy Cur despite everything about him.

It makes sense that he wants to get with a winner…before we become one. A new chapter is being written. With Doofus receding, it’s becoming a franchise perhaps less inclined to react to a star player’s podcasts or posts. It’s becoming more NFL, than NBA. And I could see how that would take some adjusting. Adjusting that he may not want to do.

So this would be the first truly good time to listen to Maxx. Be that his words or his actions. Give him a new beginning too. He’s earned it.

I don’t think we can get two 1sts in general, but I think we could get Wash’s 1st and 3rd this year and maybe something in ‘27, or perhaps a similar level of compensation from Balt or NE.

If you believe what Glaser said he would bring more than Micah. He said he received calls from no less than 20 teams “when it happened”. Still don’t know what happened to facilitate those calls
