Just a curiosity question regarding Kubiak. I'm more than convinced he's the right guy, at the right time, for what is the right situation. Everywhere it's talked about him being a hot offensive-minded coach. Why has he not been pursued hard by other teams?

To be fair he was one of the most interviewed candidates this cycle. But his continuing to be in the playoffs prohibited him more 2nd interviews at certain times. Some teams didn't want to wait, some went with defensive coaches, NYG went with Harbough, Arizona did wait.

Because only Mark puts 65 million for 1.5 years of HC service on the table.
We do have a planned Franchise QB coming to us that could be enticing.

Beyond that, I got nothing.

It's the qb. Young in demand offensive coaches have learned the single most important thing to help ensure success. A capable quarterback. If kubiak likes mendoza I think he takes the job. If we had the #6 pick he wouldn't even be considering us.

Seems to me we're hoping he picks us. Who wouldn't want a chance at a possibly All Star QB to mold into what he envisions. Probably gonna work out great on the Offensive side of the ball.

But on the flip side, will he have Norv Turner disease and not be head coach capable? I'm hoping against hope this won't be the case.

That is the mystery with Kubiak. His public persona doesn't exactly scream "leader". Norv is a good comparison. His public persona compares with Norv, or Dennis Allen. But there are great head coaches who seem really bland at a microphone - they aren't first ballot HOFers though

He played safety at Colorado State and was a team captain. Normally the captains are the team leaders. His defensive background combined with his knowledge of running a top NFL offense makes for an interesting combo.
