No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

If Jon would humble himself he would be a great OC/assistant HC. I thought he would learn from his run run pass days from all the time in the booth. I was wrong. He would still be a pretty good OC

I think he would be a great HC where the GM is the GM and the OC is their own person to. His ego wouldn't allow it. He's good at getting players ready. He puts the time in.Goodtimes333 wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 8:36 pm If Jon would humble himself he would be a great OC/assistant HC. It isn't going to happen, but imo we need a HC that is smart, strong minded and will put the time in to shape this team up.raider_kin wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 7:26 am I can't believe all the : Gruden, if, if, if.

I don't know if any of the coaches we are talking about has all of those, beyond their specialty (OC) if I was Brady/Spy I would be trying to figure this out because they will need to be all of those.

Gotta believe part of the reason Belichick did not get elected on the first ballot is because he was a complete dick with the media.

Like I said earlier, then they have no professional integrity.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:39 am Gotta believe part of the reason Belichick did not get elected on the first ballot is because he was a complete dick with the media.

Not saying he doesn't belong in the HOF, but instead, only citing maybe one of the possible reasons why.Jeevo wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 9:00 am Like I said earlier, then they have no professional integrity.
IMO, professional integrity is not a one way street...and Belichick was a dick to the press. So was Ted Williams, Barry Bonds, Bobby Knight and countless others and the media responded in a way that their displeasure would be made clear.
If I am a interviewer on any outlet and I ask a valid question and some athlete/coach who perhaps had a bad game belittles me in front of my peers or on national TV, sorry, but I may not vote for you, at least on the first ballot.
Belichick will get in the Hall of Fame, but not this time around.

How he dealt with the press is completely separate from his record in the league. He’s the only no-brainer on the list that they had yet at least 20% found some crazy way to say no.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:00 am IMO, professional integrity is not a one way street...and Belichick was a dick to the press.
