The Raiders opening is the only one that isn't garbage. There might be guys who don't like the Raider opportunity because of the revolving door WRT to head coaches, but the pieces are there to build a program with the #1 pick, plenty of other picks, cap space and a few foundational players on the roster.

Has any coordinator ever coached an SB while already having an agreement to join somewhere else?

Did Kyle Shanahan have an agreement in place BEFORE the Super Bowl? It looks like he was hired one day after the Super Bowl.

Kellen Moore last year. But any agreement is verbal, they cant actually sign as far as i know

It cannot be official until after the Super Bowl if the coach is coaching in the Super Bowl. But it can be “well-known” ahead of time.

I feel like we'll need to hear something about a second interview for Kubiak today, or he's more likely just staying in Seattle. Yesterday would have been an insanely busy day for him, while today he likely has a bit more time to breathe.

Josh better make sure his cape is ready. I actually feel bad for him as his whole window is going to be wasted

...i'm not so sure, despite McD's having given them some reasons over the recent years for cutting him loose, the promoting of the GM after his not finding a way to bolster anything where needed at the trade deadline, and including even making a trade for jakobi m, which could have been a difference maker, and then the owner talking sht about the now former coach, I'd imagine both the GM and the owner are going to be motivated to make it look like they 'were right' and that their actions were justified.
...either way, it won't be easy with the post rookie QB deal situation which always makes that increasingly difficult....

This is not difficult and other teams have similar with the Owner - President of Football Ops - GM.

The bigger the decision the higher it goes with all teams and not all are Owner - GM, some have more layers.

And ESPN is reporting McDaniels officially has chosen to be OC for chargers and withdrew himself from HC candidate.

Thats going to be problematic for raiders
