Sure, you interview guys who may not get the job, but you still have to do the process. If Webb gets the job, I can damn well assure you they did not have him penciled in before they fired Carroll, and that includes several on the listBoKnows81 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 3:32 pm That's cool. You have your opinion, I have mine. To me, interviewing some of these guys is a complete waste of time.
And for the record, not one guy has been hired yet so we are not behind as of right now.

That's it except you did it to efficiently. You have to work on dragging it out for 2 to 3 minutes...raiders93 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 3:12 pm Classic Hondo insight:
I feel very strongly that the Raiders will hire a coach. I can’t give away my sources but they’re looking at guys between the ages of 32 and 70. I’m being told it’ll be an offensive or defensive guy.

Salah was a terrible head coach for the Jets, pass.Goodtimes333 wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 10:11 pm I wouldn't mind Saleh or Minter as HC. The Raiders have always had their finest success with a strong defense, strong ground game & clutch quarterback play
Edit: if it was Saleh with McDaniel at OC, even better. Or Kubiak at HC. Jeanty in a Shanahan run blocking scheme would be running around like a coked out water buffalo & I'm here for it

If I'm a giants fan I'm not overly enamored with the hiring. I would be confident that he could get the franchise on the right track but he will be 64 when they kick the ball off next season. How much does he have left in the tank? He's 10 years older than Tomlin. When his brother took over the chargers he was 60 and had a young established seasoned QB at the helm. When his brother was hired by the chargers I felt as if he had 3-4 years to win the SB and if they didn't by then he would be run out of town. I would speculate it will be the same for John...

The only thing I want....when the new HC is announced....and during his presser as the new HC.....
They let the Nation know...who exactly signed on to the guy becoming the latest and greatest so we know whom to blame If/when shit goes south.....And would it be too much to ask the for the next up wishing for his career to die.....to not try to gaslight Raider Nation?
Not a big ask by any means.
Best of luck.

Pierce, though I like him more as a defensive coach, clearly showed that he was not up for the job of HC before he was shown the door...and I doubt he has gained any more experience by sitting on the sidelines for the last year.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 7:58 pm If you needed proof that the Falcons love shooting themselves in the foot.
