Just came here to remind everyone again that Mendoza to Bowers is gonna be an absolute thing of beauty that I will look forward to every Sunday. What head coach is turning that down?

Mendoza should and will be the pick.
And the Raiders would be smart to keep Aidan O'Connell as #2 qb and look to find someone decent for the third spot.
I don't understand a lot of you always shitting on AOC. He is a decent qb, the best of the 3 this year and will make a serviceable back up. Having to deal with the shitty offensive lines the raiders have had the last years all qb's would have a hard time making plays. put that together with very bad OC's.
Mendoza, AOC should be a decent qb room and find a 3rd. Next order of business after Mendoza is fix that damned crappy o-line. Going nowhere without major upgrades at all 5 positions to the line plus bringing in real oline coaches not some nepotisms son who doesn't know shit
this is the year for spytek, his make or break year. he's got to get it done if he really is a good GM. Letting go those good players we had last year does not look good. We will see.

10/22 102 yards. You’re concerned about losing that?ELCAraiderfan wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 5:21 pm Mendoza should and will be the pick.

Man I love Mendoza’s approach to football. I know it’s crazy, and no one knows how far he can go in the league, but he’s a Brady prototype. Brady sure as Hell didn’t come into the league after setting the world on fire. He just wasn’t outworked. Mendoza won’t be outworked.
I think Beck would make an excellent backup if he had a surprising fall into the 5th or 6th.
AOC ain’t it. He was at his “ceiling” before entering the league. Have him be 3rd backup if necessary.
Those making the case for Trubisky as back up, good call. Haven’t even begun to peel that onion. I suppose I like Tru the best. Then Mariota-Taylor, followed by Flacco I guess. He’s basically a coach now at his age.

I wouldn't mind double dipping into the QB draft, I mean f'it why not increase your odds and if nothing you develop a second guy for trade bait.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 6:48 pm Man I love Mendoza’s approach to football. I like the idea of getting a Vet behind Mendoza who can be leaned on by the rookie for advice. As far as the draft goes I’d like to double and triple dip on both lines. We need guys there. DE free agency not looking great and Koonce/Wilson are mediocre at best and Koonce is listed as the 5th best DE free agent.

I like the idea of signing Trubisky. It would be a situation akin to Josh McCown acquisition in tandem with drafting JaMarcus Russell.

People keep saying Moore is more talented, more mobile, and has a higher ceiling... I don't see it at all.
Especially in the games last weekend, Mendoza looked levels above Moore in all categories.
I really think people are projecting what they want to see on these guys. Mendoza looks closer to Drake Maye than Goff in play style.
We'll see.
