New coach ………. Again

What’s your thoughts? I prefer young offensive minded with a fresh DC. Kubiak, Cooter, Kafka and pair them with someone like Al Harris as the DC.

They gave up multiple first round picks and 80 million on cap space to Deshaun Watson. Hes a solid coach that was dealt a losing hand. He should be considered anyway

Gary Kubiak's traditional offensive scheme, the core of the Shanahan-Kubiak system, emphasizes the wide zone run game and extensive play-action passing, but historically has not focused heavily on the Run-Pass Option (RPO) as a core element.

Kubiak Offensive Scheme Details
System Foundation: The scheme is built around a West Coast offense passing game married with a zone-blocking scheme that uses hard run-action fakes to set up deep play-action passes and bootlegs.

he did well in Cleveland for never having a QB, nor any real offensive weapons.
He had baker mayfield. Wether it was his call to ditch him or not I don’t know but baker is capable

Brian Daboll's offensive system incorporates Run-Pass Option (RPO) plays. He is known for tailoring his scheme to his players' strengths, and RPOs have been a part of his play-calling both with the Giants and during his time as the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills.

Offensive Scheme Details
Adaptable System: Daboll does not run a single, rigid offensive system but rather an adaptable one that evolves based on the personnel available.
RPO Usage: RPOs were a significant part of the offense in Buffalo, especially with a mobile quarterback like Josh Allen, who ran a high volume of RPO plays. Early evidence and film breakdowns suggested that RPOs would also be a notable part of the Giants' offense when Daboll took over.

Play-Calling: For the 2024 season, Daboll took over offensive play-calling duties for the Giants, a change from his first two years as head coach, continuing to implement his desired offensive philosophy that includes RPO concepts.

Strategic Variety: Daboll's offenses utilize a variety of concepts to keep defenses off-balance, including play-action, bootlegs, and screens, of which RPOs are one component.

Baker looked good for Stefanski one year. The next year Baker was hobbled by injury and played through it and was not the same guy - sometimes you have to force a player to sit even when he doesn't want to.

yeah, I don't know why people assume Daboll couldn't be successful in the coordinator spot. A Flores and Daboll combo doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world to me but hey, to each their own.

yeah, Stefanski is not and has not been the problem in Cleveland. He would be my number one...

I've heard other combos as potential hires; Hall/Oates, Simon/Garfunkel, and Doobie/Brothers as dark horses.

Understandably they may be looking at how the NYG offense preformed and not the Bills and agree he can coach this kid to the kids strengths.

I think the first coach that should be on the Raiders radar, whether available or not, is Curt Cignetti. It's at least worth a phone call. Second would be Klint Kubiak, third Mike LaFleur. After that there a bunch of 'Meh' options and lousy retreads.

They could've talked (I think) to DaBoll since he was fired but Flores would be off limits since he's employed plus if this came to fruition, wouldn't tampering charges follow since Flores is employed? Not buying the Flores thing....yet

Daboll is notorious for having rancid gas and stinking up offices and elevators, they should pass on him.

he did well in Cleveland for never having a QB, nor any real offensive weapons.
He had Mayfield.
He had Stubbs. Really he's always had a strong RB roster.
They've had named WR's and solid TE's.
They've had a mix in terms of Oline talent, nothing as bad as what we went through.
I sort of like him to, I'm not sure what's really better out there.

For the Browns it's like who do they think they will get that is better?

The owner f[raiders_icon]cked up a lot with Watson, worst move in NFL history.
