I think people are acting like AOC doesn't have one of the best win percentages in franchise history because AOC doesn't have one of the best win percentages in franchise history.mranquales wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 7:16 pm People are acting as if O'Connell didn't just win the game. LOL you made me call Al on a Sunday night and he had an answer and it was based on a combo of who has the most high fives and dollars.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Sat Jan 03, 2026 7:43 pm I asked AI who the most knowledgeable poster was. It said that you are.

We also have the worst record and the #1 pick, an unknown coaching staff, who's a bigger dumpster fire?CWood24 wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 9:44 am I don’t think we’re as big a dumpster fire than people talk about as we have some PREMIUM talent at skill positions that most QB’s would love to have
Good thing is yeah it's possible for quick turnarounds.

We should extrapolate that. If he started for 10 seasons it’d be 70-100. Why are we talking about drafting a qb again?

Mendoza loves Brady so much that he has him as the lock screen on his phone, I'm not joking lol.
Given that we hire a good young offensive coach, this would presumably be one of the best landing spots for a #1 overall in a given year.
$100 million + cap space, elite young RB and TE, access to his hero...

Also I just skimmed the roster and we don’t currently have a player wearing 15. Maybe they knew all along /s

This team will look entirely different next year save for 4-5 key guys assuming Maxx has cooled off. We certainly have the resources to make a quick turnaround. We’ve got a shit ton of cap, a franchise QB falling into our lap, and potentially that magical arrangement of a great QB on a rookie deal for 4 years.SkullCrusher wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 9:20 pm We also have the worst record and the #1 pick, an unknown coaching staff, who's a bigger dumpster fire?

The bigger questions are not whether it’s possible for us to make a quick turnaround assuming- it’s moreso whether we can become competent enough to do it. The landscape here looks about as good as you can get to make it happen.

You definitely don’t pass on Mendoza because AOC might not have gotten a fair shake (not that you strait said that)…erickench wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:28 pm If they're gonna draft Mendoza then they might as well bring back Greg Olson. They are both west coast offence types. Personally they have not been fair to AOC IMO.
I personally would listen if the Jets have an offer to swap picks. What would it take? Both of their 1st’s this year? Along with a 1st next year? They can throw in swapping 2nd round picks this year also?

This is a performance based business.

As much as Flores is a head case he is being proven right though that Tua wasn’t that guy & that Herbert/Love were better optionsSloth_Fratelli wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 1:24 pm No but Brady is dumb enough to pair the QB with Brian Flores
Tua is the poster boy for why owner’s should never be involved when drafting because the minute they do then you GM & HC are on a hiding to nothing
Not that Flores is my first choice but he is a hell of a coach though & consistently puts out top tier defences
This is why i want Davis & Brady nowhere near our draft process, even though Brady was arguably the greatest to play his position it doesn’t mean he knows anything about scouting they are two completely different worlds

Here is another question that needs asked
Say we get our young offensive minded HC like Kubiak or LaFleur like people want.
Them that HC wants Moore over Mendoza because of upside or because they see him as the better option.
Do you draft the QB they want in Moore?
Or
Do you as Spytek draft the best QB right now in Mendoza?
