His odds #s seem pretty inflated. If we lose to NYG and beat KC he has odds of 36% to get #1 pick. That would require NYG to beat Dal, Cle to beat Pit or Cin, and we would have to overtake the NYJ SOS. Ignoring the Jets SOS issue for the moment, just look at those 3 games. Were counting on 3 underdogs in those 3 games. And Pit is on the verge of clinching, so Cle is a big underdog in that game. If all 3 of those games were exact 50-50 propositions, the chances of getting a Giants win and at least 1 Cle win is 37.5% Once you adjust for the fact that none of these games are 50-50 propositions, and the Cle-Pit game is not even close to that, and then add in the additional requirement of the Jets SOS, its no where close to a 36% chance of getting the #1 pick. More like 15%.
Same if we beat NYG and lose to KC. To get #1 pick in that scenario would require Giants to beat Dal, Cle to beat either Pit or Cin, overtake the Jets SOS, AND, most significantly, overtake the NYG SOS. Focusing on the NYG-LV SOS, with 2 weeks left, our odds of overtaking the NYG SOS are very long. Like <0.5% long in this scenario. The Giants could have clinched that yesterday if Ind had beaten SF. The Giants are very close to wrapping that up. Obviously then we cant have an 11% chance of getting the #1 pick. Id say close to a statistical impossibility when you start out with a 1/2% chance from the LV-NYG SOS race, then adjust down for the other things that have to happen (Cle wins at least 1 more game, and the Jets-LV SOS).

If we lose to the Giants then we leapfrog them and we're picking #1. We would control our draft destiny. This is a big game.
Maybe they'll flex it.

And Brennan. Good thing is we will have the inside track on the 2027 #1 overall pick. Maxx will finally be traded tooBoKnows81 wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 11:21 am Quite honestly Pete and Geno coming back next year, while not having the #1 pick would be the icing on the cake for me.
Disgraceful that its come to this.

Even with a win, we will still pick ahead of the Titans and Cards. There is no way to catch up the the Browns in SOS. The SOS for the Giants and Jets will come down to the last game.

If the Cards have a chance at Mendoza, smart money says they take himRI RAIDER wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 11:58 am Even with a win, we will still pick ahead of the Titans and Cards. There is no way to catch up the the Browns in SOS. The SOS for the Giants and Jets will come down to the last game.

I couldn't give 2 shits about Brennan. He's irrelevant.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 11:57 am And Brennan. Good thing is we will have the inside track on the 2027 #1 overall pick. Maxx will finally be traded too

The Giants one is all but over. The Giants can clinch the tiebreaker as early as Saturday with a Bal win. If they dont clinch it Saturday, they can clinch it Sunday if Ten, Cle, Chi or Buf win. If they dont clinch it this week, they can clinch it if Cle, Chi, Atl or Sea win in week 17. For all practical purposes, its all over, except for the crying.RI RAIDER wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 11:58 am Even with a win, we will still pick ahead of the Titans and Cards. Giants can not clinch this weekend. Cleveland has a guaranteed SOS lead with everybody.

If we lose out, we get at the very least a tie with the Titans. Titans can win on Sunday as they host the Saints and I like their chances. If the Titans win, and we lose it is all over regardless. If the Titans win? Different ball game but SoS plays in our favor I believeCruisin with Tooz wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 12:17 pm The Giants one is all but over. Im refering to clinching the tiebreaker with respect to us.

Weve already clinched the tiebreaker with respect to Ten. The only way for us not to get the #1 pick if we wind up with 2 wins is if we tie the Giants and both finish 2-14-1. Then we would have to overtake the tiebreaker with the Giants, and I dont see that happening.Attyla wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 12:29 pm If we lose out, we get at the very least a tie with the Titans. I think the Chiefs rise up and beat us because: Andy Reid would like nothing better than beating us using a 3rd string QB -- by virtue of his better game planning/coaching. One problem is the 3rd stringer, Chris Oladokun is only 6'1" and we all know he is 3 inches short of being able to be a good NFL QB. I worry about the Giants game more because they have something to play for -- a better draft position.
Both are home games but that is not a problem. The financial plan Doofus achieved by moving the team works every time -- the foreign fans come to Vegas in droves.
