I don’t know if it’s real. Not validating it. Just saw it and shared.chucker wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 8:03 am That Diego Pavia story sounds completely fake. Not worth posting IMO. Discuss it if you must I suppose, but I don't see the point.

It is a fake story -- so let's not perpetrate it. He did sue about his eligibility in college. That is not a fake story.

You're naming outliers. 20 of the last 25 years, the SB was won by a 6'4+ QB. Brady, Peyton, Eli, Ben, Flacco, ect.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 3:15 am You need to check your work. Your post has mistakes and internal inconsistencies. Also what is magical about 6’4” QBs? Stabler, Montana, Unitas, MaHomes - the list goes on. And Jamarcus Russell, Marc Wilson , and Andrew Walter were all 6’6”.
Mahomes won three yeah. But who beat him? Brady and Joe Burrow, both 6'4.
Who's the best QB in the NFL? Josh Allen. How tall is he? 6'5.
The grand majority of the prototypical great QBs were all 6'3 and over. Ideally, you want your QB around 6'4.
Mendoza is 6'5. That's a franchise QB.
Jamarcus Russell is a bad example because he didn't have the work ethic. His numbers weren't bad (2 to 1 ratio) and were actually a reflection on how bad the team was as a whole. Marc Wilson also wasn't a bad QB. The only bad QB you named was Andrew Walter.

Mendoza is exactly what you want in a QB prospect... 6'5", 225lbs. all day...

I know mranquales is easy to disagree with on most things but Im not sure why anyone would argue that height doesnt help a QB. Of course it helps. Its not a requirement and some are amazing without it but all else being equal ill take the 6-5 guy over the 6-1 guy.

To suggest a QB who is 6'2" cannot be an outstanding QB is a fallacy. Sure tall guys excel but one inch does not matter. all that matters is talent and field vision. Not one inch.DanKD wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 9:54 am I know mranquales is easy to disagree with on most things but Im not sure why anyone would argue that height doesnt help a QB. Of course it helps. Im not suggesting that but height is one factor to consider and it does help a quarterback.Attyla wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 9:56 am To suggest a QB who is 6'2" cannot be an outstanding QB is a fallacy. As usual, your numbers are wrong. 5 of the last 6 years, the SB was won by a QB under 6'4". Other winners in the last 20 years include Rodgers, Manning, Wilson. So I'm not sure how that's 20/25. Obviously it isn't. Please never quote another number, and save yourself from getting called a liar again.mranquales wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 9:39 am You're naming outliers. 20 of the last 25 years, the SB was won by a 6'4+ QB. Height helps a QB see the field. Speed helps a guy run. Intelligence helps him make decisions. You can't rely on one trait to scout the QB position or any other position. Tape measure scouting just isn't enough to invalidate a player.
For the record, I'm all in on Mendoza right now - but 6'5", while helpful, is not his superpower.

I echo Chucker. And to say “6’5”- now that’s a franchise QB” is just lame. And you were almost all wrong on the drafting stuff you posted. That’s why I said to check your work.

Yes, the issue with mranquales is he takes any nugget of truth in his posts to the extreme of extreme.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 10:34 am I echo Chucker. And to some ay “6’5”- now that’s a franchise QB” is just lame.

I was wondering if that ever happened before. NE and Mia came close in the infamous snow plow game 40 or so years ago. The guy that was the snow plow driver that cleared a spot for the FG kicker was a convict on work release. I believe in the next game in Mia between the two teams, some fans were hanging a black-and-white garbed effigy. Funny times.Sold My Soul wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 7:30 pm How the hell is it going to look like the Raiders and Giants tanking?

Yes, Mendoza or Moore for me.chucker wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 10:09 am As usual, your numbers are wrong. 5 of the last 6 years, the SB was won by a QB under 6'4". Heart, attitude and determination also factor into evaluating a player. In high school I wanted to be the next Elway but no matter how much of all that I had I was never going to pan out because those aren’t superpowers either.
