Del Rio, Dufus took control of the hiring process to get Jack, taking the decision making out of McKenzie's powers.raiderjohn wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 11:13 am Yep, not a tough approach to have, but Mark keeps stirring the pot, ever since his left field hire of Gruden, ever since then, he's had a hand in all HCs.
Ok, so Chip is gone and all that is left is Graham. No way in hell he survives. But I have this gut that tells me Carroll does.
RIP Chip, you should never have been here to begin with. f[raiders_icon]cking idiot.

And whose idea was it to move Meredith to center after he performed so well at left guard last year? Walter Football rated Powers-Johnson as the no.1 center in the 2024 draft. If something is not broken don't fix it!BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 6:25 am Lol stop. He's irrelevant. You want to talk about scapegoat? Pete's son would be the ultimate scapegoat if fired. I'm 99.99% positive the O line would perform the exact same if he were gone.

If you truly believe that it was Pete's sons decision to move Meredith to center, well then I think you need to do a little more research my friend.erickench wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 11:37 am And whose idea was it to move Meredith to center after he performed so well at left guard last year? They probably sat Pete's son in a corner and stuffed an apple in his mouth. That's how relevant he was.

Well right now the only qualified man on this staff able to replace Kelly would be Greg Olson and may they hasten the day. This will be Olson's 3rd stint as the offensive coordinator. Under him and Gruden, Derek Carr became an elite quarterback in that he threw for so many 4000 yard seasons. Instead of this bullshit zone blocking scheme, which never worked for us, we will be utilizing gap and power blocking combined with a west coast offense philosophy.

you don't change blocking schemes mid season and you don't switch to a new system mid season. They will be utilizing the existing playbook and blocking scheme for the remainder of the year. And Carr was not elite, in yardage Carr hovered around 10th which is top third but that does not make him elite.erickench wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 11:54 am Well right now the only qualified man on this staff able to replace Kelly would be Greg Olson and may they hasten the day. You throw for over 4000 yards and you're elite in my book. Blocking schemes and playbooks can and have been changed midseason.Attyla wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 12:03 pm you don't change blocking schemes mid season and you don't switch to a new system mid season. The west coast offense utilizes the pass to set up the run. Remember? We just need to utilize more gap blocking and create running lanes for Jeanty.Attyla wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 12:10 pm your book, eh

Every team in the NFL uses both kinds of blocking.erickench wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 11:54 am Instead of this bullshit zone blocking scheme, which never worked for us, we will be utilizing gap and power blocking combined with a west coast offense philosophy.
And per The Athletic, Olson is the interim OC.

This is where Im at. Its going to take years to rebuild the line. The entire line needs replacing. Should have taken Membou, a guard in the second and a RB in the 3rd.Hellbound wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 6:12 am I agree you can rebuild the line fairly quickly but I don't believe you're going to get quality tackles in free agency. Like qb, any that are worth a shit are going to re-signed by their respective team. You might find one on a prove it deal but that's not what you want to be relying on
Imo we could use an entire new oline. Miller is getting injury prone, JPJ has proven nothing and is injury prone himself. Glaze and everyone else are backups at best. 1 qb isn't fixing this team and trading up certainly isn't going to help improve anything as this team needs those picks. This team is farther away than what people might want to admit

He's meh at playcalling. With Greg Olson as your OC, your offense will be exactly as good as its players. No better, no worse.

Well, our QB and o-line suck so basically no change.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 12:21 pm He's meh at playcalling. With Greg Olson as your OC, your offense will be exactly as good as its players. No better, no worse.
