I’m done
I have been a follower of this team since the 1960s. Watched some amazing teams. Those Monday nights where we were unbeatable. Amazing teams, and amazing wins.
We haven’t done shit for over 20 years. This is the biggest joke in the f[raiders_icon]cking league. I lived in Boston for 18 years through the Patriots being basically Super Bowl contenders every year and everyone asked me why don’t just change teams I said some Raiders fan we don’t change teams.
Well, I’m not changing teams, but I see no point in watching this shit anymore, does this ruin the day for you already? The text are coming in from my friends same thing every week every month every year
All I can say is, I’m glad the NHL is back
Good luck gentlemen maybe I’ll come back after that shithead piece of crap that owns the team sells it but until then I’m done with this f[raiders_icon]cking team. I wasted too much of my f[raiders_icon]cking life worrying about these f[raiders_icon]cking crap players. Bullshit coaches bullshit moves.
f[raiders_icon]ck them and f[raiders_icon]ck Mark Davis
You don’t have to bother to reply you can delete this really don’t care logging out now. Maybe I’ll be back in a few years after the team is sold.

And it goes back a long time. After WW1 the joke was that witnesses saw a thief robbing a wheelbarrow full of Deutschmarks, but the money was so worthless that the thief dumped out the money to steal the wheelbarrow.Xramfan wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 2:04 pm That’s funny. I saw the same thing except instead of Raider tickets it was SF Giants tickets lol

We're so far away from those days now that I gotta stop and think about how it used to be, but even here in the Pacific Northwest I always had some fellow fans to talk Raiders with--- at work or when I went to see games in person or in the sports bars.. Up to date behind the scenes info was rare..... I wasn't online until After Gruden leftAttyla wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 4:36 am Prior to the internet craze, you had no idea what fans thought unless you were in an area with a heavy population of fans of that team, and even then you did not have "organized" events to talk about the teams. Work spaces sometimes you would have quick discussions but unless you were hanging out at sports bars, most your info came from the paper or the five minute spot on the news. I think my most heavy saturation of sports talk was my college years. Then the internet came into being and everything changed.
As for my "patience" post, I guess I have seen too much bad football and now I expect bad football. Well, this team is living up to my expectations.

ESPN had some good stuff with Sports Center and talk shows like the one Roy Firestone used to host that could give you a glimpse of some behind scenes stuff.Raidermofojeff wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 1:28 am We're so far away from those days now that I gotta stop and think about how it used to be, but even here in the Pacific Northwest I always had some fellow fans to talk Raiders with--- at work or when I went to see games in person or in the sports bars.. I remember a Raiders Booster Club from Portland what would come up to the Seahawk games. The always congregated by the players gate after the games and were fun to interact with. Misery seemed to like company after a few of those blowout that were not in our favor. The 1986 MNF rout was a tough one.

Way late response: Willow Glen High School (San Jose ). The Willow Glen area is now VERY high end housing. When we moved in there in 1960 it was very middle class. Where do you teach? I played basketball and ran track so I knew almost all of the high schools.srv5490 wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 3:05 pm Which high school? I'm just curious because I teach down there.

Yeah I went to a lot of Raider games in the Kingdome too. Also used to get this Raider publication newspaper type thing in the mail. I always learned stuff from that but it was usually a month old.... Still I was armed with good conversation knowledge when hanging out with other Raider fans. Used to work with a buddy who was in regular contact with people in the bay area and he'd get tidbits. Watched Firestone too.ToastPatterson wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 10:09 am ESPN had some good stuff with Sports Center and talk shows like the one Roy Firestone used to host that could give you a glimpse of some behind scenes stuff.
