I was reading some rumors about the Jags may want to move on from Brian Thomas and a connection to the Raiders. I would offer Meyers and Koonce (and a pick if needed) to get him. Gives us a great young trio of skill position players on rookie deals going forward. It also makes the pick we trade useful than to blow it by drafting a bust.

Yea I been seeing that too and I can't for the life of me grasp why the Jags would be looking to move him. A 1st round pick who balled out last year who is in his 2nd year? I understand he hasn't been doing much this year but neither has that whole offense. I wonder if there's more going on that we don't know about.RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 6:23 am I was reading some rumors about the Jags may want to move on from Brian Thomas and a connection to the Raiders. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Raiders would trade Jakobi Meyers “only if they felt they were getting strong value in return.”
Nothing of the sort has materialized. Meyers requested a trade in the offseason when he and the Raiders failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension. The team’s season hasn’t gone as planned and they now sit at 2-5 as the trade deadline approaches. Meyers confirmed that he still wants to be traded when asked about it following the team’s Week 7 blowout loss to the Chiefs. It doesn’t make much sense for the Raiders to hold onto Meyers in the back half of a lost season, only for him to leave in free agency in a few months. Still, teams rarely make the most obvious of trades, so we aren’t holding our breath for Meyers to be moved.

Can't wait to know what the Raiders think "strong value" is.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 8:08 am ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Raiders would trade Jakobi Meyers “only if they felt they were getting strong value in return.”

We are the most dysfunctional organization in the league. Just when you thought it could not get any worse, this team might not trade Meyers which will be an all time low.

No one is trading a 2nd or 3rd for like 8 games. He isn't apart of the long term plans and they will not get a comp if they actually spend money in the offseason, go get what you can already and stop this weird middle ground.

No. I'd keep him for that and my bet is if that happened, people would be screaming for Spytek's head. No one has any clue as to what compensation is being offered for Meyers. At some point you're trading someone just to trade him

I think we could do better, but I would take anything. First off, he is a good guy (I am aware of him from his Patriot days) and I would want them to take care of him if he wants out. Secondly, we do not get the comp pick until the year after next (loses a rd in value by waiting a year). Thirdly, he is not going to make the bag that warrants a higher comp pick. Lastly, we will have a ton of cap space next season, so I would think that we will be active in the FA market. Just my worthless take.

Yeah, a 2 or a 3 seems completely out of the question, and a 4 is pretty unlikely. At this point anything is better than the nothing we’ll get otherwise.JRaider17 wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 7:02 am No one is trading a 2nd or 3rd for like 8 games. fair answer, my question was asked because they might have a minimum price in mind and if nobody gets there we might not move him. And unless they say something, we would never know. But you have to think Jakobi lowered the price in the minds of other teams by coming out and taking a trade.RI RAIDER wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 7:12 am I think we could do better, but I would take anything. Sounds like they indeed have a minimum return in mind which I assume is in the range of a 4th round pick. I have to think he would have been moved already if a 5th round pick would get it done. They may still move him for a 5th but that would likely be within a day of 11/04.

Here is hoping they are trying to drive the price up and they ultimately trade him no matter what. I still think he goes to the Bills and I would be down with that. We get a pick and we can f[raiders_icon]ck KC in one move. The Bills are obviously playing for the Super Bowl and they could use a shot in the arm. Allen has been Un-Allen like this season.
