Start Pickett?
At least, we would have Civil War jokes.

So what your trying to say is our QB's have been playing in a piss poor shit scheme for 20 plus years???ToastPatterson wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 4:07 pm Often accuracy is a byproduct of the scheme the QB plays in. The you have Stabler who was able to lead the NFL in completion percentage and yards per attempt; while playing in an offense that placed more a PREMIUM on pressure passing as opposed to percentage passing.

I'd rather start AOC. He doesn't turn the ball over.

He did in preseason against scrubs, even managing to throw an ugly pick six.
No one but no one on this current roster is worth jackshit except as a backup. That's what O'Connell is and it's what Geno is.

Right. AOC is an all-around solid QB period.
Again, Geno didn't throw a single pick in preseason. Preseason doesn't matter.Opoponax50 wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 9:41 pm He did in preseason against scrubs, even managing to throw an ugly pick six.

Smith and Aidan have blown for the Raiders. Aidan had some inflated numbers when he played in a few games at the end of the season where teams were laying down for the tank (something we should have done). Pickett blows as well, but he has not blown for the Raiders. I would like to see what he could do with a change of scenery. He will almost assuredly reap of suckage as well but he can do no worse than the other 2 clowns. I am dumbfounded how anyone can think AOC is a solid QB. He is a train wreck who is lucky to be in the league.

A huge percentage of AOCs are from the Charger game where their whole team jogged around to get the coach fired. Other than that game he has done very little.RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 9:31 am Smith and Aidan have blown for the Raiders. Pickett was on a great spot in Pittsburgh to flourish and was really bad. We don't have a decent option

Disagree that Kenny had a great spot in Pittsburgh. Their OC at the time, Matt Canada, has to be one of the worst I’ve seen. Fans vocally booing him every week and almost inexplicable they kept him that long. He was a midseason firing that almost never happens in Pittsburgh.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 10:38 am A huge percentage of AOCs are from the Charger game where their whole team jogged around to get the coach fired. Not saying Picketts a star. Just that I don’t believe him to be a no-upside guy.

Lol Kenny Pickett has ZERO upside. He's garbage.raiders93 wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 11:20 am Disagree that Kenny had a great spot in Pittsburgh. Kenny Picket =Brian Hoyer. Tired of these hacks that the Raiders seem to attract.
Love to see Cam Miller get some regular season reps but playing behind our line is likely to shell shock the lad.

I know he is inexperienced, but we should at least get his feet wet with a few drives here and there. Its a balance of getting him reps without doing damage to his psyche.ToastPatterson wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 12:15 pm Kenny Picket =Brian Hoyer. Tired of these hacks that the Raiders seem to attract.

In 2023 AOC was winning games for us because Z. White was running the ball well. That is until we hired an offensive coordinator the following year. We have Jeanty who can play in any system. Pairing him with AOC is the best thing that could happen to this offense.

I don’t think he’s a train wreck, he’s a solid backup but doubtful as a starter.RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 9:31 am Smith and Aidan have blown for the Raiders. AO12 is definitely a train wreck. He's nowhere near a solid backup. He just may look that way to some on this team only.Willmark wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 1:46 pm I don’t think he’s a train wreck, he’s a solid backup but doubtful as a starter.
