Well I would disagree with you and here’s why.

If you keep Telesco(which I wanted) and just say for argument sake you keep AP.

Telesco want(ed) to build up his OL so it’s very possible that he takes Membou right away & JPJ doesn’t get moved off of center. Now you got to look at that OL group & also realize you’re not gonna have Pete’s kid coaching them.

Plus, guys like AP/Telesco aren’t gonna move OL around for their own egos.

Vinny B admitted that Telesco wanted D Jones last year so you have to assume after he signs him your OL/QB are looking a lot better

raider_kin wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 1:44 pm You know, given all the"player attitude" problems, I'm starting to wonder about the coaching.

Remember how bad MacDaniel was.

Remember how Jackman lost the team in a game which if we won would have put us in the playoffs.

Sometimes the bad attitudes are just coaching failures.

And GOSH, we keep signing former Seahawks as well.

Pete's done. (and I was FOR him at the beginning of the season)
We can’t ignore the Pratt debacle either. One thing I’ll say in Del Rio’s defense is the rumor was he didn’t want Marshawn but Mark forced him on the team.

We need someone like Gruden who Mark idolizes since Gruden tells him to get out

The team should have figured out all of this stuff in training camp and pre-season. Instead they still don't know going into week 6.

The cover 3 defense is the reason they have struggled so much. They aren't letting the defense attack, instead they have them playing soft coverages all game.

They had the db's playing deep in the redzone for crying out loud instead of pressing the receivers leading to easy underneath catches.

Rushing only 4 all game while playing soft coverages isn't going to work anymore, the Raiders don't have the personnel aka the legion of boom back there.

Maxx is out there running around like a chicken without a head playing coverage and it's pathetic to watch.

Pete hasn't mentioned how special teams and Geno are really struggling and how he needs to address the situation and make some changes at all, which shows their isn't any accountability going on right now. Which doesn't give me any hope for the future.
JT is so dumb he said on his show yesterday that “personnel decisions need to be made” yeah JT, that was the off season & all they did was let guys leave and sign the worst guard in the NFL along with trading for Geno

Mark signed Lynch as a sop to Oakland. He didn't fit with the team either personality wise or scheme. We should have kept Murray instead, who gelled perfectly, could catch passes, and pounded home 12 TDs (nine from inside the four-yard-line) in 2016. Both Lynch and Murray were around the same yearly salary after 2016.

You have no idea how Telesco wanted to build the team nor do you have any clue if players on the oline would've been shuffled around. And AO was in completely over his head. A gm or hc can want whatever player they wish for. Doesn't mean they're getting him. Jones was a FA and didn't sign with us so.....

I wonder if Pete would've let Saleh build the defense how he wanted to and kept his hands off of it? If not then why would Saleh even entertain the idea? He'd seemingly have to rebuild the defense and/or team as he would want it after Pete left

Pete may just coach himself out of the HOF as Russ played himself out of it. Vince Lombardi could rise once again and wouldn't be able to lead this franchise out of the dregs of the NFL.

I still think Pete is a great head coach.
