Mid season ESPN mock has us taking sellars. Which I wouldn't be mad at. But (and this is coming from a gamecock). He's very raw. Not Anthony Richardson raw. But his passing mechanics need developing. Mostly in my opinion because his offensive lines have never given him a chance to develop them. But he will need time.

This would be a disaster. He's way too inconsistent in all aspects of his game. Leave it to the Raiders to draft a guy with turnover and accuracy issues though lol.vtraider wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 7:52 am Mid season ESPN mock has us taking sellars. Which I wouldn't be mad at. The FO already signed an inconsistent pick machine this past offseason, so why not draft one and make it a two-fer. Under Geno, the kid'll be set up to throw picks and make slow reads. It'll be a seamless transition.BoKnows81 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:03 am This would be a disaster. He's way too inconsistent in all aspects of his game. Ha. Couldnt agree more. I'm just hoping most of this staff is gone next year.Opoponax50 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:07 am The FO already signed an inconsistent pick machine this past offseason, so why not draft one and make it a two-fer. Not considering any trades, The Raiders currently picking at 9 would be looking at the 4th QB in the draft. Possibly the 5th.

The NFL and mock drafts seem to consider only a guys “ungodly physical talent/ can’t teach speed” blah blah blah and never stop to ask a simple question.BoKnows81 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:03 am This would be a disaster. Can he pass? As in complete them on time, high completion, is he accurate game in game out, etc etc and do it at college level. The NFL doesn’t wait for guys to see do they can develop it. Either they have it or they don’t.

we are two games from being tied for first
or
one game from being tied for worst
Both things can be true and misleading at the same time....lol

Look what Brady did with Randy Moss.Raidernation1979 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 5:17 am The trenches and the qb. A great offensive line can make an average running back look good. A great QB can make average receivers look good. Look what Brady did with his receivers.

Moss was with Brady for 0 of his 7 championships. A #1 WR is a luxury, priority #1 is finding a top10 NFL QB

Not when your QB is mid, which our QB currently is. Look at Dante Culpepper. Look at Geno Smith's Seahawks tenure. A #1 WR is a priority when your QB isn't elite.DanKD wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 1:36 pm Moss was with Brady for 0 of his 7 championships. A #1 WR is a luxury, priority #1 is finding a top10 NFL QB

We, in no way shape or form, have a 'mid' QB. We have a garbage QB who can't see the field and is a turnover machine. No eliteness of any O line, WR, TE, RB is going to help him.

If we don't end up with one of the top two picks, I would have zero issue drafting Ruben Bain if for some reason he fell to us.

If he is that good, why not draft him in the first round? You going to wait and let him be snapped up by someone else? If he is the man at QB, you draft him ASAP don't you?mranquales wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 5:28 pm QB for Arkansas Razor Backs. 6'6, 234. Throws lasers and has excellent mobility for his size. Threw for 3000+ yards last year and is on pace to exceed that this year. He's also a perfect fit for Chip Kelly's hybrid college offense.
I think he'll be a diamond in the rough that can be had in the later rounds.

Geno Smith will most likely be our starter next year. You just have to accept it.BoKnows81 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 2:52 pm We, in no way shape or form, have a 'mid' QB.
