Fire Chip Kelly
Figured we can talk about the scheme that is wasting Jeanty, regressing Smith and frustrating the hell out of the fanbase. Not to mention Bech being wasted and a load of other issues.

If Chip walks the plank, Greg Olson (who's been the OC for us twice already in the last 15 years) would be the obvious candidate to take over.RickRyb wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 3:06 pm If Chip Kelly were to get fired, say during The Raiders bye week, is there someone on staff to get the interim title? Or is it the desire he be fired after this season? Is there a person on the current staff worthy enough to be considered for the job next season? Are there any candidates available or projected to be available?

It's wild but I think Olson would be a significant upgrade at this point. He'd fix the run blocking real quick.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 3:25 pm If Chip walks the plank, Greg Olson (who's been the OC for us twice already in the last 15 years) would be the obvious candidate to take over.

Yeah I don’t think Olson would be that bad actually. I’m not saying he’s a long term answer but he did an okay job running the offense when Gruden got fired.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 5:47 am It's wild but I think Olson would be a significant upgrade at this point. Yea, why would anyone want Greg Olson? I don't understand why Raider fans are so fixated on trash has-beens.Dr Death wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:48 pm I don't know.... but why do you want a 2nd time re-tread back?

I just asked the question because I had no clue who would take over mid-season. I didn't suggest anyone.Dr Death wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:48 pm I don't know.... but why do you want a 2nd time re-tread back?

So which other coach currently on staff would you have take over as the offensive playcaller?BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 5:31 pm Yea, why would anyone want Greg Olson? I don't understand why Raider fans are so fixated on trash has-beens.

Hire ME! I’ll do it. And - guarantee a better job of offensive production than CK’s embarrassingly bad “offense.”

Only other coach on staff with OC experience is Philbin. So for that reason can't see the six million dollar man going anywhere.

If my only option was to have Greg Olson take over as O coordinator, I'd rather have Chip finish off the year and start fresh in 2026.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 7:33 pm So which other coach currently on staff would you have take over as the offensive playcaller?

Well, there are other options for sure at this time. Me personally, I would take Callahan over most other options. If he is not in charge, he really does call a good game. And his old man can come along and help fix the Oline.BoKnows81 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 3:17 am If my only option was to have Greg Olson take over as O coordinator, I'd rather have Chip finish off the year and start fresh in 2026.
