Not a big fan.
Did not want him.
I think he will be good. Good isn’t good enough in my opinion for his draft slot.
Hoping he proves me wrong.

Who did you want..... that we could have taken? I wanted Membou. I'm not upset with taking Jeanty, but I'm a foundation guy... it all starts and ends with the lines... IMO.Be_Easy_25 wrote: Sun Sep 14, 2025 7:22 am Not a big fan.

The amount of yardage rushing he produced in college is no bullsh*t and hes proven he can pass block very well. I think he's going to be really good. We can pick up linemen in future drafts and free agency. Glad we got him.

Should the Raiders have drafted Mike Munchak in 1982 instead of Marcus Allen? Sure, Eric Dickerson and Curt Warner were available the following year but we were out of position to get either one and were able to add Don Mosebar.
The Raiders had an opportunity to get a player that they feel can change the direction of the franchise and capitalized on that opportunity.
Comparing Jeanty to Marcus is a tall order and I am not doing that. But,...I believe in Ashton Jeanty.
I am also glad he is a Raider.

I just didn’t think Membou was that great of a prospect. Kind of a late-process combine riser. If joe Alt was available I probably would’ve preferred him over Jeanty. I think Jeanty was just a much better RB prospect than Membou was an OT prospect.Dr Death wrote: Sun Sep 14, 2025 9:27 am Who did you want..... that we could have taken? I wanted Membou. So far Jeanty has been a wasted pick. If we’ve not going to actually feed a 6th overall pick running back the ball. Why on earth did we pick him.

Running back is the easiest position to get. If you’re taking one 1st round he needs to be a top 10 RB in the league. If you take one top 10 he needs to be top 5.
You can take an above average tackle in the top 10 and not worry about it.

Jury is still out. Jeanty hasn't gotten enough carries for a decent sample size.
He had 4 ypc last game, which is fine.

Yeah, not pleased with how Chip Kelly is using him thus far, or not using him for that matter.WolfRaider wrote: Mon Sep 15, 2025 9:37 pm So far Jeanty has been a wasted pick. If we’ve not going to actually feed a 6th overall pick running back the ball. Why on earth did we pick him.

Preseason Week 1 = 23 points
Preseason Week 2 = 19 points
Preseason Week 3 = 10 points
Season Week 1 = 20 points
Season Week 2 = 9 points
The Raiders, so far, have no offense, let alone an explosive offense
Another observation from the Charger game is it didn't seem like The Raiders defense was hitting anybody. Mostly just grabbing and pushing.

Exactly. Jeanty rips a decent gain and then Kelly ignores him for the rest of the series. RB's need carries to develop a rhythm.

It’s frustrating watching this. He’s looking good when he gets anything from our o-line, breaking tackles, picking up extra yards. But with the exception of the 4th quarter last week… he’s getting 3 carries per quarter and they seem to be few and far between.ToastPatterson wrote: Mon Sep 15, 2025 10:12 pm Exactly.
