7-8 wins which would basically double last years win total. I think better qb play and a far superior coaching staff should be worth 3-4 wins alone

7-8 seems realistic.
4-3 at the bye will have us feeling good but the schedule gets harder and we go on a 3 or 4 game losing streak in Nov-Dec.
One win against each divisional opponent. Then in true raider fashion, we'll lose a game we aren't supposed to lose and win a game we aren't supposed to win.
Offense will carry this team. Defense I fear will cost us games our offense had in the bag. Most teams will put at least 20pts on us.

Considering the fact only 7 teams averaged less than 19.9 ppg last year I’d say most teams will put up 20 or more on most gamesLA R8R wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:59 pm 7-8 seems realistic.

The best defense in the league allowed 18.1 ppg. So 20 ppg allowed by our D would be fantastic.

Thanks for that. I rarely read up on about upcoming opponents.Sold My Soul wrote: Sat Aug 02, 2025 9:53 pm I have been following closely the Raiders week 1 opponent and have been reading the same week after week...the O-Line is a problem that the Raiders can capitalize on....
Troubling report surfaces on Patriots' first-round rookie
By Jordan Sigler | Last updated Aug 2, 2025 9:01 AM ET
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye might not feel comfortable with his blindside protection early in the upcoming season.
Following troubles at left tackle in 2024, the Patriots invested in the position by drafting LSU standout Will Campbell with the No. 4 pick in April's draft.
Per Chad Graff of The Athletic, Campbell has been trending down at training camp this summer.
"All eyes are on him every practice, which is a tough spot for a rookie," Graff wrote of Campbell. "So far, he’s been about what you’d expect from a rookie. He has some strong moments, particularly in the running game. But there have been struggles in the passing game. He’s been beaten for a sack in just about every practice, which isn’t great considering he’s usually on the field each practice for only 15 or so passing plays in full-team drills.
"He tends to get beaten to the inside after oversetting, and it probably doesn’t help that the Pats don’t yet know who their left guard is next to him. Still, extrapolate those numbers, and that’s allowing two sacks each NFL game if you throw the ball 30 times. Not great."
Graff believes the future is "bright" for Campbell, but doesn't think he will be a top-20 left tackle in 2025.
NFL scouts had questions before the draft about Campbell's 32⅝ inch (or 33 inches, depending on whether one believes the league or LSU) arm length. Some suggested he'd be better suited to play guard in the league than left tackle.
If Campbell continues to give up sacks, the Patriots might consider moving the 21-year-old to the interior part of the offensive line.
Per OurLads, Campbell is projected to win the left tackle starting job for Week 1. If Campbell doesn't develop quickly in the preseason, Maye's progress as a thrower in the pocket could take a hit in the upcoming season.
The beat writers dont do individual match-ups for the up coming week either outside of injury reports.

Seems about right for us at least. As I previously said, Geno likely only equals 1 additional win for this team.

NFL south stinky.
And tip your hat to USA today, they gave out the same number of wins and losses.

While I believe Geno will provide a big raise in the floor at the most important position, I just don’t think this team has enough “game changers” to really make a playoff push.
The defensive side of the ball, on paper, is extremely weak. The Broncos, for example (and outside of Maxx), may be superior at 10/11 positions. Chiefs and Chargers aren’t far behind. I just don’t think this is something the Raiders will be able to overcome on a consistent basis, particularly within the division.
Last year they trailed by double digits in something like 10 straight games (?). Don’t think that will be the case this year.
7-10 is my call. Based on how Spytek has structured deals and been frugal with the cap, I believe he views this as the reset while still being ‘competitive’. Let’s just hope the rookies are worth their salt. That would be a huge positive.

That’s my guess. No defense & the mindgames with the OL are gonna cost us. The annual “it takes time” line will be coming soon too.raiders72 wrote: Sun Aug 10, 2025 9:28 pm After the week 1 preseason sh!t show
4 13
And in true Raider fashion miss the 1 pick for Arch

Barring injury this team is a 7 win team, based on what I saw yesterday.

Pete's gotta get the O line set (as Brother Fratelli says O line mind games) or we are looking at 4-5 wins. With the O lIne solid, could be 7. That is if Jeanty holds up, and I'm not betting wooden nickels on that either.
Call it 6. Geno and the playmakers can grind that out for us.

5-6 wins coming vs CLE, NYG, TEN, JAX, NE, IND. This defense is going to get exposed.

Yep we take all the bad teams as W's on our side, they do the same for us.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Mon Aug 18, 2025 10:22 am 5-6 wins coming vs CLE, NYG, TEN, JAX, NE, IND. This defense is going to get exposed.
A few of those teams are better than where they ended last year.
The defense needs to keep improving if they start bad.
What I've seen out of the Raiders in preseason is common for teams.
The Seahawks are coming out with serious juice in both of their games, a few teams are like that, but it's not common.
I'd say most fans would think if they were to judge their team solely by what they saw of them this preseason. 7 wins would be a common guess.
