It just doesn't seem to matter.
I have no idea at this point who could get this team turned around.
The last coach I really liked was Cable, and he was fired after going undefeated in the division, and finally getting us out of that sub .500 world we lived in for a decade.
I dont know what the team needs, maybe a whole rebrand

Someone likeable.

It seems like it’s a totally underrated quality. Not to say you can get by on that solely but maybe do away the weasel (McDaniels)/egomaniac (Gruden) type.

Lance Kiffin. Here me out, Kiffin remains the biggest mystery of a coach we have ever had. He was brought in to interview for the OC position only to impress the old man over Sark. He fought the old man on drafting Russell only to lose. He is the only coach ever fired using an overhead projector in what can only be described as the most painfully cringe pressers of all time. To appease the old man we must reverse these memories and the only way is to bring in a successful Kiffin and let him lead us to the dance. When that happens, the sins of our forefathers will be forgiven and the old man can get out of purgatory and ascend to his rightful place at the head of the table in Valhalla where he will gather with his most trusted Raiders as they rule the afterworld.

The End

It's a little early to begin talking about this, but as of last week I got the feeling that the writing on the wall is in its initial stages. So anyway...

A younger coach with boundless energy that isn't afraid to take well considered risks. I'd use the word "innovative" but at this point the league has seen it all. The only thing that really changes are rules that help the offense, so "adaptable" and "flexible" are among the qualities you'd look for in a new HC.

Oh, and someone who gets the most out of the players that are actually on the damn team. A good HC can put a competitive team on the field even when they don't have the best talent in the league; and you can see it right away. It's not something that takes 3+ years to manufacture.

IMO, we had enough talent on the field to compete with Buffalo. That doesn't mean we should've beaten them, but if we would've hung tough for 3 quarters before the Bills pulled away, that would've been acceptable. Instead, we had a good opening drive and got our asses absolutely kicked thereafter. That's not good coaching.

This organization needs to to grow a pair. No more retreads; no more hey, this guy miserably failed years ago, but he looks like a safe choice now type of hires. That's just ball-less bullshit that guarantees mediocrity and worse.
