I dislike car as much as the next guy. But he did have more than one touchdown
Had a 4 dropout.
14 TDs, while averaging over an interception per game and barely under a fumble per game.
We in reality land call that trash football.
Yeah because those Alabama QBs have all panned out so well in the NFL.... oh wait.....
You regularly go though through contortions to find every conceivable excuse to explain away the shortcomings of our current QB to us old-timers who have higher standards for our QB play than just mediocre.
You tell us we don't know football.
You tell us we aren't true fans.
You tell us we're clowns.
And then you forget the guy who set the standard many of us are comparing our current QB to:
Derek Carr's last 12 games - 14 TDs, 13 interceptions, 11 fumbles.
More 'hater' facts by your truly. That 11-13 rank is nosediving.]. even Bowl cut ain't dumb enough to think that is good football.]
https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/derek- ... t-12-games
Don't kid yourself, rumour has it bowl cut would only hire a new HC willing to keep Carr as QB (not saying it's true).
Our only hope is Xramfan threatening to stop bringing Hooters gals and Wings to the Owners box on game day if he doesn't allow McDaniels to remove the "kid gloves"
OR he is better than you are wiling to admit. Numerous coaches who have no ties to him have come in and elected to keep him.
Either they have all been idiots or you are wrong.
Well they bet their jobs on him and they have all been fired. People love smoking crack too, they keep doing it, maybe smoking crack is good too?
That's some bottom 5 QB type shit man.
Yeah, I read that elsewhere and found it pretty alarming. I wonder how he rebounds from this one, will it be play it safe or is it time for one of his cinderella games?
McDaniel's can prove a good bit one way or the other Sunday.
On Carr being aggressive - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com ... s-chargers
“There's a lot that goes into passing the ball obviously, reading the coverage, making a decision on where you want to go with the ball. And then obviously the actual mechanics of throwing it the way you want to throw it,” said head coach Josh McDaniels.
"Any number of those things could deter us from having success. So, you know, the deep one to Tay [Davante Adams] was a little under thrown on that one. We had the same thing one down the middle to Waller again, that was more of a decision of how to throw it, than underthrown it was kind of, we put more zip on that one as opposed to touch and those are decisions that happen in a football game,” added McDaniels.
My take is it does vaguely sound like accountability is something McDaniels is capable of.

Whenever Carr lets a deep ball go, it comes out like a punt. His deep balls are gash.

If Carr had said something like this and I need to get the ball further out there for these guys I could maybe start to respect him again. But he says “i was to aggressive”

Sounds like words being said for a developing rookie or second year QB.
Red flag when being said for a supposedly franchise QB entering his 9th season.

NO, those WRs were OPEN, you just f[raiders_icon]cked up and under threw the balls. What good is speed and separation the WRs gain....if the damn QB throws the ball so as to negate it and throw the ball so to make sure the coverage can make a play. "Too aggressive" .....what a turd.

I’ve seen a lot of “he is who he is” and I don’t buy it. One of the things I like the least about Carr is how little he has improved, and “he is who he is” gives him a pass in the sense that it implies that he can’t correct his flaws even if he worked at them. Someone mentioned doing drills to work on pocket movement and progressions — does anyone doubt that Carr already thinks he’s great at those things? You don’t get better if you don’t think you need to improve, and Carr reeks of that mentality.
Other QBs have come in with deficiencies and become top level guys. It’s not the rule, but it happens if the player is dedicated enough. The examples below are the best of the outcomes, but any players can improve his flaws with work.
Josh Allen came into the league with poor accuracy, now he’s everything you want in a QB top to bottom.
Brady was a 6th round draft pick, but if you read his scouting report he actually improved some of the things that were wrong. He went to a QB guru to get it fixed, and continued to work with him long after becoming the GOAT
Mahomes came in with questions regarding his ability to decipher complex defenses, as he had only played in Tech’s simplified run & gun. The first year Tyreek said he thought Mahomes was trash. Spent a year learning how to make quicker reads, and has become automatic
Again, not every player will make the strides that those players made, but the fact that Carr has basically remained the same player year over year is perhaps his worst flaw
