Justin Herbert threw over 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns, with the 29th worst defense in 2021.
How is that even possible, when it's the defenses fault that the QB can't throw touchdown passes?

The 1960 season represents the start of the modern era in professional football. That’s the year that Lamar Hunt founded the American Football League, and that led to the AFL-NFL World Championship game that soon became known as the Super Bowl.
You might want to update your files on the "Modern Era " of football .
When did the NFL HOF make determinations regarding eras? That is their designation for induction into the hall, not a determination of actual eras in the NFL.
And they didn’t make the playoffs and the Raiders did.
this is the answer any time TDs come up. Of the top 10 QB s in yards last year, Carr was dead last and it was not even close. Imagine if all those drives he stalled out inside the 20 had been TDs and not FGs. We might be arguing who the MVP of the league should have been and not wondering if he will get us back to the playoffs.

You might want to update your files on the "Modern Era " of football .
* Since the introduction of the salary cap and free agency as it is today. Coaches these days drop losers, but Gruden gave us Leatherwood, Ferrel, and Carr over Brady. No, my tune will never change, Gruden sunk this team with terrible decisions.
So to reiterate.
Worst defense, bottom 10 offense since Carr arrived.
This gave us the biggest loser of a QB since 2000. This is something impressive to you with all your capslocks?

That's how they are putting the players in that played the game .

When did the modern era of football start?
The modern history of American football can be considered to have begun after the 1932 NFL Playoff Game, which was the first American football game to feature hash marks, the legalization of the forward pass anywhere behind the line of scrimmage, and the movement of the goal posts back to the goal line
Take your pick ... 1932 or 1960

And Carr's won more games with that defense than any QB in 100 years of the NFL !

Take your pick ... 1932 or 1960
again, the HOF determines the modern era for their purposes. There are historians who consider it the year of the first super bowl. so it is not one that has a definition that is set in stone, but the HOF who is affiliated with the NFL but not part of the NFL is not the determiner of when that date is.

Now post fumbles. I have multiple times in this thread, it’s not good.
