I don't like Carr as the QB of the future, but he isn't the worst QB in the NFL. Prescott for example has better stats, but I don't like him either.
Apart from Allen, Herbert, Mahomes, Burrow, Rodgers, Stafford, Murray, Wilson, and Jackson I'm not really big on any other QB except maybe Lawrence or Hurts.
Carr's level is in the range of Cousins, Wentz, Garoppolo, Prescott, Tannehill and Ryan. But they don't play scared of contact at least.
Prescott, Tannehill and Garoppolo had stacked teams and folded.
And that's what I expect from Carr, that's why I want the Raiders to move on from him. I think Mariota can produce the same as Carr but it won't be with fancy stats.
With Mariota the running game will improve and redzone efficiency will improve imo. Give the defense rest, win time of possession and will most of the time at least keep the games close.
Mariota is not the answer, but he can be a bridge QB like Minshew. The Raiders need to find their QB of the future and will have to draft him eventually.
I think Carr will stay for sure this upcoming season, but I hope they don't extend him before the season starts. McDaniels needs to see him play some regular season games 1st to properly evaluate him.
I think Carr's play will improve with McDaniels, but it still won't be enough. I will not drink anymore Carr kool-aid
. If Carr can win a playoff game, I might take a couple sips of kool-aid
after that win. Carr's kool-aid
has been bitter and not sweet, but I will gladly eat crow if it means the Raiders are winning.
If you think I'm saying that he isn't good, you're wrong. What i am saying is hat fans say dumb shit no matter who their QB is...as it is here it's the same over there and probably anywhere else too,
they love Joe Burrow right now. But frankly, they loved Joe Burrow even after the injury.
https://twitter.com/Schultz_Report/stat ... I9zrvMVQrw
This is going to be the year Carr learns how to execute a play-fake! Yay!!!
So we're right on schedule for Carr to learn the pump fake in 2031.

I think McDaniels is going to try and have the same relationship with Carr that he had with Brady in NE. If he finds out Carr is t who he hoped he was he will adjust his plan or adjust who his QB is. I don’t expect him to do what Gruden did and coddle him and sing him lullabies to sleep at night.

Just dont extend him, that's all I ask. I think we all knew he would be our QB for 22-23.

if you extend him and he broke his ankle again? you're f[raiders_icon]cked
your takes are really random. That injury was a fluke. Since his break, how many QBs have broken their ankles?

Got damn, it's never too early to say f[raiders_icon]ck this team, this HC and QB! For real.
