We had some things go really bad for us off the field this year, but Carr had the same kind of season he did last year and the year before that. He's good for 18-23 TD passes a year and that's it.

All this David Carr talk amounts to a publicly announced ultimatum from Derek: pay me a shitload of money, keep our current coaching staff, and get me more offensive weapons.

That's some out of control egotistical bullshit right there for a guy whose only thrown for 30+ TDs once in 8 years (and that was 7 years ago). P

We need to get what we can from him and move on.

Useless cowardly Turd of a QB. LOL. Only Mark Davis would give him 35M a year for 23 TD passes and 19 TO's and no ability to run or extend plays.. I'm OK with McDaniels if Dodds is the GM. Wouldn't be my 1st or 2nd or 3rd choice as HC, but he better talk Davis out of an extension because in less than a year he'll want Carr gone.....

My favorite play is you need a TD in a playoff game. Carr Panic & throw short. Ya Zae Jones was going to run over 3 defenders. Reminds me of when Carr checked down on a Hail Mary to Richard so he could get a cheap completion. Then tried to claim he could run over about 7-8 defenders & score a TD....

Did you feel much differently when Mahomes and Allen were in school?

Generally speaking a "weak" class to me translates to pretty much "this class doesn't have multiple prospects that seem can't miss" and as such about every class is weak and some that supposedly did didn't pan out as such.

The position just requires deep scouting, development, and persistence when you crap out to reevaluate where things didn't translate honestly and keep fishing until you land a keeper.

Then when you do, keep it up just less relentlessly because if you polish a jewel you have some mighty resources to deploy either by getting cheaper or trading for players and picks.
