Bisaccia didn't agree with Carr's assessment that the team was flat: "We played with great energy."
Truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
The interim HC life long special teams coach is already fed up with Carr lol.

I officially have had all that I can take of Derek Carr. Dude is so soft, he folds even when there is no pass rush. He has happy feet in the pocket. The fact he slipped and fumbled the ball when he wasn't touched and his press conference was the very last straw. Tired of him saying "It's on me, we gotta do better, blah blah blah" every loss and then the same 'ol same 'ol the following week followed by the same excuses from his supporters.
I'm done with him, it is time to park the Carr, for good!

Wasn't there but have seen the video. Derek Carr is as good as anyone I've ever seen at putting on a brave face of optimism following a loss. Different vibe today. My preseason guess for #Raiders was 9-8. Don't see them getting there. Would love to be wrong.

If anything I think we can safely say at this point carrs just wildly inconsistent. At this point it’s a notable pattern that you’re gonna get about as many bad games as good ones out of Carr.
If you took Carrs best 5 games a year and got that level of play for an entire season we’d be laughing. Problem is you can’t count on anything close to that. When he’s on point he’s a top 10 QB but for whatever reason he seems to routinely get into these long slumps where, barring a miracle he gives you no chance to win.
That’s a really good point. Carr looked like he was just gazing off into oblivion, disinterested. Why the hell wasn’t he concerned enough to review plays and get with his teammates? At the after game press conference he was rocking back and forth, looking unstable. Looked like he was having a mental meltdown. Something is wrong.
Yeah, I noticed that too and thought it was odd. He wouldn't really look up from underneath his cap peak either.

Can you imagine Brady, Manning, Brees, wilson, rivers, Rodgers, mahomes hanging their head like that after a few consecutive bad performances? Looking forward to the end of the Carr era. Not a guy you can ever win a title with unless you magically have an 85 bears or 2000 ravens type defense.

Baltimore won with their backup qb and missing their #1 wr. Not to mention the rb situation. Excuses for Carr need to end

I’ve seen the O-Line blamed alot recently for Carr’s performance but they’ve actually played well whem it has come to pass blocking not so much run blocking though, our highest graded player against Cinci was Brandon Parker who (can’t believe i’m saying this) has become servicble
Can’t blame the O-Line
Can’t blame the D
Can’t blame the WR
The next logical step is the playcalling or coaching but it’s the same stuff we’ve seen all year & Carr has had good games
So that leaves us with one option that ties it all together & that is Carr, he might be a good guy & i wish him no harm but i need him off my team
This is one for all the uk football/soccer fans “IT’S TIME TO GO”

Of course the situation around Carr could be better. That's always going to be the case for every quarterback who ever plays or has played in the NFL.
I don't know about anyone else, but at my job I have to do the best with what I have. No one gives the slightest damn if I don't have the same resources as another firm. I have to do my job the same as if I did have the same resources. It's what I get paid for---and I sure as hell don't get paid $20 million a year.
We have enough pieces around Carr to score more than 10 f[raiders_icon]cking points against the Bengals; to score more than 9 against Chicago; to score more than 14 against KC; and so on. And quite frankly, those arguing about poor Derek's circumstances are the ones who make him sound like the biggest pussy in the league. I don't think that, but his most ardent support must.

I will make the argument that keeping the boy wonder for another season will be worth it to get some stability during the search for a new head coach.
OK, yea, I tried to type that with a straight face
Two of the unicorns as examples…
You can keep trying to refute what he said, but sooner or later, the steadfast few continuing to carry Carr’s water are going to have to face reality and all his garbage time stats, the “B…b…but he’s had different coaches and no supporting cast,” excuses and “too many things have happened this season,” nonsense aren’t going to save him.
Will dumping the mediocrity known as Carr immediately translate into a Super Bowl the next season? Nope, but it’ll be one Hell of a big step in the right direction.
Sigh. Here we go again (bangs head).
As I have stated in this thread going all the way back to the offseason I was calling for Carr to be traded for whatever picks we could get for him and to put Marcus under center and attempt to use those picks to help build a team. I have also stated repeatedly I feel he is a middle of the road QB.
A quick glance just a few pages back would have alerted you to this. This however does not erase the fact that if one is mindful enough to be able to compartmentalize (not you per se) that just because other teams passed on him doesn't prove anything and I illustrated two prominent players as an example of this.
Really, the entire NFL... every... single... draft is chucked full of these examples and not just at the QB position. I just picked the two obvious ones. I don't think the word unicorn means what you think it means. Either that or you should really take a refresher course in football 101.
Please try and keep up. It would be great if you could stay out of the way of the productive flow of the board by not making members here constantly correct you.

Someone posted this on another forum, and I’m seeing some of the same issues seven years(eighth season) later…
B/R Bleacher report
Derek Carr NFL Draft 2014: Highlights, Scouting Report for Oakland Raiders QB
Fresno State (HT: 6’2⅜", WT: 214 lbs)
Oakland Raiders
Second Round: 36th Pick
NFL Comparison: Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears
Negatives
•Footwork needs improvement; he often retreats from pressure and throws off his back foot. Needs to step into his throws more consistently.
•Poor decision-making under duress.
•Average pocket presence with wavering poise and unrefined pocket movement.
•Stares down his intended target. He needs to improve eye discipline.
•Too often appears to be flustered by pressure. Can be quick to flee the pocket.
•Inconsistent mechanics, has a tendency to lock his lower half and throw with his arm alone.
•Struggles when his receivers’ routes are disrupted.
•Often late to recognize the blitz.
•Operated almost exclusively out of shotgun with four or five receiver sets.
•Not an anticipatory thrower.
•Will not hurt defenses on the ground. He has enough mobility to get by but is not much of a running threat.
•Hangs his receivers out to dry at times.
•Does not appear to see the field very well, throwing into double-teams occasionally.
•Struggled with top competition.
•College career ended on a lousy note as he was erratic vs. USC in the Las Vegas Bowl.
