Didn't want to start a new "Draft 2022" or "Drafting a WR in 2022" thread, so I am tossing this in here as it does affect the effectiveness of Carr. Many mock drafts now have us drafting WR in the first round. If that happens, it is more fallout from the idiot Rugg's misadventures. We could be drafting a LB, C, or OT with that pick instead of another fast WR.

This site has dozens of mock drafts and they are updated all the time:
will the Raiders get a compensatory pick for losing Ruggs ? is it any loss or only loss from free agency.
while the full criteria for compensatory picks is not disclosed to us by the league, the player lost must be signed by another NFL team, so unless Ruggs signs a deal while in the slammer and plays for another team we will not get a pick for him. This protects the teams from awarding picks for those on the exempt list or retired players. In this case, Ruggs is a free agent but may be put on the ineligible list which would disqualify the Raiders from getting a pick were he to be signed to a futures contract.

although I am not sure you can sign a player on the exempt list to a futures contract.

Carr threw the game, given the way he passed.
