Yea, that's how I see it too. Hondo has been full of shit for so long.... and wrong so many times it's hard to take anything he says serious. I'm betting Moore will declare for the draft. The NIL money would be tempting, but the NFL Rookie pay scale is better. Unless he really wants his education (LOL) he would be a fool to risk f[raiders_icon]cking up that money staying in school and possibly ending his career before it ever started.Raidernation1979 wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:55 pm Hondo is like several posters here. Open both doors so you can claim you were right. Might stay might go. Like Mendoza. Like Moore.
As far as sitting more players.... I guess we'll see come game day.

All three of those QB's led their teams to the Super Bowl. As so far as carrying their teams, have you seen Purdy play lately?NoClapsPlease wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 11:28 am My only issue with Mendoza is that he can’t make those off platform throws that you’d like for your QB of the future to make. He’s a WC QB through and through and he’s gonna need a good oline to protect him because he is not going to be able to play off script and create plays.
Some tend to think had he been available last year he’d be the 4th or 5th QB chosen in the draft.
I don’t know man, I’m just seeing Jared Goff, Brock purdy, two guys that will never carry a franchise, but can be really good contributors. or even a poor man’s Matt Ryan.
I wouldn’t be mad if we took the pick haul instead. This guy is a bit overhyped.
If he balls out against Alabama, I’ll stfu.
I believe Mendoza has all of the tools.

"Off-platform throws" and "unscripted plays" tells me the offense isn't working as designed. Are they super cool to watch? Can they bail out the offense once in a while? Yes and yes, but you can't build a whole offense around them.

This sure is a big transition from me being labeled a Carr apologist
I can’t even take this comment seriously.

It is an insider trick. You make a series of statements, such as "The Raiders intend to select Mendoza. But there is a vocal number of guys who like Moore." But there is a problem here, we have not yet been told either are coming out (we know Mendoza is coming out and we are pretty sure Moore is too) and we are also pretty certain that the guys inside the building the "insider" is referring to does not include one coach. We also know the GM has not even started viewing scouting tape for college players since he is now focused on finishing the season and then doing the coach wrap up and in all probability doing a coach search. And we know no GM is going to shop for a franchise QB in the draft without significant input from his head coach. And on and on. So who are we taking about inside the walls, Mr "Insider?" Well, that probably means that Mr "Insider" has some low level employee or intern on his pay who is talking out of his ass. So the "insider" adds in the insider trick. he adds in the "but some insider the walls disagree" which makes the "insider" right no matter what happens. It is a magic bullet move. Hondo knows how to phrase his shit so it looks really good but he uses way too many sucker moves. But among sports fans, there are a lot of "drink the sand" types that feed off of his sloppy excuses for inside information.

The first game of his I watched, I felt like he was over hyped. He was patting the ball, telegraphing throws that got batted down, etc. I didn’t see the quick release I’ve read on scouting reports. Then I watched the Penn St and Ohio St game and said damn…dude can play.NoClapsPlease wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 11:28 am My only issue with Mendoza is that he can’t make those off platform throws that you’d like for your QB of the future to make. I also would not be mad at a pick haul. If you get Simpson and an extra 1st + 2nd or 3rd? Tough to pass up unless you’re just in love with Mendoza.

You act like anyone takes your comments seriously. You literally brought up three QBs that went to the Super Bowl in your Mendoza comparison and still have your doubts.NoClapsPlease wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 1:45 am This sure is a big transition from me being labeled a Carr apologist
