I think this is why Kubiac is the next Raiders coach. I'm not sure how a guy wanting a HC position can/would turn down Mendoza, Crosby, Jeanty, Bowers, the state of the art stadium and facilities, 9 draft picks, 80 million in cap space (?), warm weather and no state income tax..... plus, It's Vegas!Attyla wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 12:12 pm I guarantee you, if Kubiak signs, there is an understanding that Mendoza is our pick no matter what. You do not go from the Seahawks to the Raiders without that understanding.

That ball flew 57 yards in the air with no margin for error. If you hang that up even a little bit the safety is snatching it.
40 yards vertical from marker to marker, 40 yards across the field from left hash to sideline.
40^2 + 40^2 = 3200
√3200 ≈ 56.5 yards
Sick throw
EDIT: After more rigorous estimating, the air yardage is closer to 53.6 yards. See next page for details.

"its Vegas" applies to 18 year olds but not most adults after 48 hours ;)Dr Death wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 3:07 pm I think this is why Kubiac is the next Raiders coach. These attributes are a far cry from several performances we witnessed in the just passed NFL playoff games. It's something that pretty much can't be taught and, anyone can see he's razor-sharp, doesn't have a chip on his shoulder. The arm is plenty good, accurate. Cannon arms are not an absolute necessity, ask Tom Brady!
.....accuracy and above average are strength every day over cannon arm with 2 cent head, and with inconsistent accuracy, and not actually knowing 'how' to throw it.....

Fernando is a bit goofy but I think he’s gonna save us. He’s the perfect QB to play in Vegas too.
