Ugh. Since he's come up again, it's notable that we spent a ton of money bringing in quality talent for him, but he never performed better than he did in his third season. Common denominator and all that.Raidernation1979 wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 8:41 am Recently he said he never said that but that we need to put help around him. Standard Carrbage going full fetal and backtracking his comments as he knew fans were pissed at him.
Anyway, it's been repeated many times, but we better be active as hell in a search for whomever the coaching staff believes is a good fit for their scheme and for Mendoza. We need to give him the best supporting cast we can.

This is the most excited I've been in a decade going into a Raiders offseason. There's no guarantee Mendoza works out but man it feels good to have hope that we could finally have a franchise QB.

They make all-black and all-light-grey versions of this hat (59Fifty,) but I photoshopped the light grey a few shades darker to make this particular image.haji81872 wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 6:45 am I would pay whatever it took to get that hat. THAT IS SWEEET.

We already got to see him in the face of a fierce pass rush behind a shaky Oline and held up well. With his ability and intelligence he's like a piece of clay for Brady and incoming coaching staff to mold to their liking. Im pretty confident he's the guy.heavyD wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 9:48 am This is the most excited I've been in a decade going into a Raiders offseason. I remember reading a couple of places that some teams had Jayden Daniels above Caleb. Let me try and find the source again.bringdafunk wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 8:37 am There really wasn't any doubt that Caleb was going #1 to the Bears was there?
I'm not necessarily saying that Mendoza is a superior prospect to what Caleb was at the time, but more that the lack of QB or generational prospects at other positions in this draft make Mendoza a no brainer unless you have a franchis QB in place.

Now that Mendoza has declared the Raiders should let it be known publically that he's their pick.

Dont know man just my opinion, think it would be great for the kid to start thinking of himself as a Raider, and let the fanbase know that he's the teams future. Instead of all this dumb speculation about Lamar Jackson and trading away the pick being out there, they move past all that noise early. The Raiders have a history of looking unprofessional like they dont know what they're doing, that they have no plan and like things are always happening to them instead of them making things happen.

I personally had Maye and Daniels over Caleb. Maye being my top guy.Marzan wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 12:59 pm I remember reading a couple of places that some teams had Jayden Daniels above Caleb. Let me try and find the source again.
